This policy explains how the controller of blakusprojekts.lv processes personal data when you visit the website or submit a request. We aim to process only the information needed for the purposes described below.
1. Controller and contact
Controller for the website and contact form: Bils Gūtfricis. For privacy questions or requests to access, correct or delete data, email bgutfricis@inbox.lv.
2. Data we receive
- Contact request: first name, surname, email address and message content.
- Attachment: if you choose to attach a PDF, we receive its content and filename. An attachment is optional.
- Technical and security data: session identifiers and expiry times, request-processing status, security-check results and technical request information needed to operate and protect the website.
- Third-party embeds: when X, Facebook, hCaptcha or Google Tag Manager components and configured tags load, those providers may receive technical information such as IP address, browser information, cookies or page-visit data according to the configuration and their privacy terms.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss potential work — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To send a receipt confirmation and deliver an optional PDF attachment — fulfilling your request.
- To prevent spam, fraud and attacks and maintain service security — our legitimate interests.
- To understand website usage or display embedded social content — to the extent provided by the tools' configuration and applicable requirements.
4. Recipients and service providers
Data may be processed by Cloudflare (hosting, security and temporary storage), Resend (email delivery), hCaptcha (automated-abuse checks), Google (Google Tag Manager and configured tags), and X and Meta/Facebook when their embedded content is loaded. These providers process data under their own terms. Depending on the service, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area; the relevant provider is responsible for applicable transfer mechanisms.
5. How long data is retained
- Temporary contact-submission copy: up to 7 days in the website's temporary storage, then automatically deleted.
- PDF attachment: temporary uploads are deleted within 7 days at most; after successful email acceptance, the attachment is retained in private storage for up to 7 days and then deleted.
- Session data and session cookie: a session is valid for 30 minutes. A QR code is valid for 2 minutes. Technical session records may remain until expiry processing and deletion.
- Email copies: the request is emailed to the site administrator and a confirmation is emailed to you. Copies may remain in the relevant mailboxes and Resend systems according to those services' settings and policies; the website does not control their independent retention periods.
- Server and security logs: retention periods are set by the relevant infrastructure providers and their configuration.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
The contact form uses a first-party session cookie named __Host-session with HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax attributes and a maximum lifetime of 30 minutes. It is needed to maintain a secure submission session. Third-party embeds and tags configured in Google Tag Manager may use additional cookies or similar technologies; their use depends on configuration. Please also review the privacy settings of those providers.
7. Your rights
Under applicable data-protection law, you may have the right to access, correct or erase your data, restrict processing, object to processing, and receive data in a portable format where the relevant conditions apply. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it. Email requests to bgutfricis@inbox.lv. You may also lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate.
8. Children's data and sensitive information
The website is not intended for children. Please do not send special-category personal data, passwords, financial account details or other sensitive information unless specifically necessary and agreed in advance.
9. Policy changes
This policy may be updated when website features or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page.
